On the latest episode of The Masked Singer, Kitty was revealed to be singer Jackie Evancho. She performed "Back to Black" by Amy Winehouse.

Kitty was one of the most challenging characters to figure out. One of the clues was presented by Gordon Ramsey; it was an opera cake that tipped off some viewers to that it was Evancho, who is an opera singer. She got her start in singing as a young star on America's Got Talent. There were other clues that tipped viewers off to Evancho. A pope hat was a nod to Evancho performing for Pope Francis. Evancho has discussed struggling with body dysmorphia and bullying, and her best friend talked in a clue package about some of those obstacles Kitty faced. Other clues involved Robert Redford and Oprah Winfrey.

Evancho told Variety why she decided to participate in The Masked Singer, explaining she was well known as a 10-year-old musician. She said,"I have so much else inside of me that I wanted the world to know, and this whole other range of talents and voices that I could be using. So I saw this as a great opportunity to sort of reinvent myself under this big mask of anonymity."

The Kitty costume, Evancho said, was tough to adjust to breathing and difficult to see through. She revealed, "It was nerve wracking but the more episodes I did the better I got at it." The panel, like much of the audience, had a tough time figuring out who Kitty's identity was. Nicole Scherzinger predicted Vanessa Hudgens; Jeff Dye thought it might be one of the Olsen twins; Robin Thicke suggested she was Ashley Tisdale; Ken Jeong offered up Anna Kendrick as a possibility; and finally, Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg guessed Lea Michele. Evancho explained to Variety, “I knew they were not going to be able to guess me because they know Jackie Evancho as 10 years old, not 20, and definitely not as a sexy kitty cat." She said she was happy to be confused for Hudgens, because she is "everything that I want to be as a singer and artist.”

The early boots this season were Lil Wayne, Drew Carey, Chaka Khan, Tony Hawk, Dionne Warwick, Tom Bergeron, Sarah Palin, Bella Thorne and JoJo Siwa. Evancho joins Super 9 contestants Rob Gronkowski, Jordyn Woods, Bret Michaels and Hunter Hayes among the eliminated. There are now four remaining: Frog, Turtle, Rhino and Night Angel. We have our guesses as to who each of the remaining contestants might be.
