This album went platin in America and Canada. The CD's success did that Jackie Evancho became the most selling debut-artist in 2010, and the youngest soloartist ever on a top 10 list, also the youngest artist ever to have a top 3 album, and the youngest artist to go platin. By May 2011, the album had sold over 1,000,000 copies in the US.

In its 2011 year-end charts, Billboard ranked O Holy Night at number 1 on its Classical Albums chart. It also ranked the album as the number 15 best-selling album of 2011 in the US.

Jackie is in 'Guinness World Records', the youngest person to ever have a US Top 3 album with the album 'O Holy Night'.

With this CD, there is a DVD included, with 5 tracks that was all her performances at America Got Talent season 5 2010, and an interview with Jackie. The album includes a two-disc set: a CD with four recorded tracks and a DVD with 12 minutes of footage of Evancho's performances and America's Got Talent appearances. It also includes an exclusive interview. It was released on November 16, 2010 and reached rank #1 on Amazon's bestsellers in music during pre-orders on October 19, 2010. Evancho released a music video of her singing "Silent Night". The disc was produced by Marius de Vries in only three days in the studio.
